Chornobyl clean-up workers set up tent camp protest in Lviv

Former Chornobyl clean-up workers have set up tents outside the Lviv Regional Office of thel Pension Fund. They are demanding payment of their pensions in full and the dismissal of the Head of the Regional Office.  They promise to live in the tents until the law regarding Chornobyl clean-up workers is honoured and court rulings (finding in their favour against the authorities over non-payment of pensions and benefits – translator) are enforced. .

The protest has been initiated by the organizations Mothers of Chornobyl, the Chornobyl Generation, the Children of Chornobyl Fund and the movement Vpered.
