Venice Commission still waiting for draft Law on Parliamentary Elections

According to the Venice Commission’s Secretary, Tomas Markert, Ukraine has still not sent the Commission the draft law for its assessement.

On 9 June the Minister of Justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych promised that the draft bill would be passed to the Venice Commission within a week.

Mr Markert said they had been told it would be with them by last Friday.
