Internet, clean thyself!

The National Expert Commission for the Protection of Public Morality [the Commission] is calling on Internet providers to draw up a “Moral Code” on protecting public morality in the Internet. This was the message from the Head of the Commission Vasyl Kostytsky.

They are also proposing to allow for the possibility of blocking undesirable web-content which contains propaganda of violence, ethnic or religious intolerance and pornography.

Kostytsky has also proposed identifying the identification code and real address of Internet publication owners.

He also calls for only advertising which meets the norms of legislation on protection of public morality to be placed on the Internet.

At the meeting between Internet professionals and Mr Kostytsky, they also considered waves of improving interaction on cleaning up the Ukrainian segment of the Internet from material whose circulation is prohibited by Ukrainian legislation.
