Russian asylum seeker released from custody

The Vinnytsa Regional Court of Appeal on Friday 11 January released Mikhail Gangan from custody as he is presently seeking asylum in Ukraine

The Vinnytsa Regional Court of Appeal on Friday 11 January overturned the ruling of a first instance court in Vinnytsa and released Mikhail Gangan. The Russian national had been held in custody since being detained on 31 December. The Court of Appeal released him since he is presently applying for asylum in Ukraine.
